Expertise in GeoAI, Urban Computing, and Human-Centered Mobility

Negar Alinaghi

Lead Researcher of the XMo Lab at Geoinformation TU Wien

Vienna, Austria

About

Our expertise is in human-centered mobility analysis and simulation, focusing on how people move and make decisions across transport modes. We study and model travel behavior, including mode and route choice, and develop simulations to capture complex mobility dynamics. To support this, we apply tools such as GeoAI (geospatial artificial intelligence) and urban computing, which allow us to integrate spatial data, machine learning, and behavioral insights. We also design AI-driven policy sandboxing frameworks to test innovative urban mobility scenarios. By combining behavioral understanding with computational models, we provide expertise that advances both fundamental research and applied projects for sustainable, efficient, and user-focused mobility solutions.
