My organisation

The China Society of Automotive Engineers (hereinafter referred to as "CSAE") was established in 1963, which is also the member of the China Association for Science and Technology. CSAE is dedicated to serving as a bridge between the government and the auto industry, creating a high-end academic think tank that supports government decision-making, local industry development strategies, and international policy and industry exchanges. Our business covers policy and tech-trend analysis and making, standard making, conference and competition holding, B2B meeting coordination, journals operation, etc. Policy Support and Industry Development: CSAE has supported the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance, and the National Development and Reform Commission in policy formulation. It has assisted in research on automotive industry strategic planning, new energy vehicle purchase subsidy policies, and related evaluations. Over the past decade, CSAE organized over 1,000 industry experts to publish two editions of the "Energy-saving and New Energy Vehicle Technology Roadmap," which covers market penetration, power battery, and related component technology development routes, leading the development of China's new energy vehicle industry. Additionally, CSAE has supported regional industry development in places like Zhejiang and Guangdong and has carried out key projects such as the Yangtze River Delta Hydrogen Corridor Development Planning. High-end International Conferences: CSAE has organized high-end international conferences such as the "World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC)." The WNEVC is the highest-level and most influential annual conference in the field of new energy vehicles hosted by Chinese governments. Over the past five years, it has gathered policymakers, researchers, and entrepreneurs, creating a communication platform for government, industry, academia, and research. The WNEVC has become an annual event for global automotive transformation and innovation, with the conference consensus serving as a benchmark for global new energy vehicle technology and development trends. In 2023, the WNEVC was held for the first time outside China during the International Motor Show in Munich, Germany, receiving widespread attention both domestically and internationally. In May 2024, the WNEVC successfully hosted a hydrogen energy forum in California, USA, attracting broad participation from American federal government, the California government, and various sectors of academia and industry. Other International Cooperation and Exchanges: CSAE is deeply involved in international cooperation and exchanges. It incubated the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association(IHFCA) and the World New Energy Vehicle Development Organization(WNEVDO), supporting China’s deeper involvement in international science and technology governance. CSAE, entrusted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, has undertaken the secretariat work for the China section of the Electric Vehicle Initiative(EVI) under the Clean Energy Ministerial(CEM). It has long collaborated with 16 countries, including the United States and the Netherlands, on new energy vehicle policies and industry exchanges. In the end of 2022, it promoted and released the Global Battery Industry Chain Sustainable Development Initiative and organized a global battery industry chain sustainable development assessment system study, producing relevant research reports.
